Surf!

Now that summer is near, i'm really wishing I would get the chance to get home. Unfortunately, I am stuck in good ol' Missouri coaching, taking classes, and working.

Did you know I am a surf instructor in Hawaii? Have you ever surfed? Feel free to tune into my Let's Surf podcast whenever you have time.

University of Notre Dame

This weekend Lynsey Porter, Erin de Jesus and myself took a spontaneous trip to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. We decided to watch Lindenwood University's women's water polo team play in the 2011 Collegiate Club Nationals. It was an amazing time. Due to unlucky weather, there wasn't too much to do in between the games. We were fortunate enough to see the historic football field.

Zoom, Zoom!

Since when did we have to pay $10.50 for a movie ticket? Oh my word is it expensive nowadays!

Anyways, last night I saw Fast Five. It was worth the ten dollars and fifty cents to watch this movie. There was action from beginning to end, just what I like. Another plus to watching this movie was all the famous actors like Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and the lovely Paul Walker.

Here is the storyline from IMDB if you're interested: "Former cop Brian O'Conner partners with ex-con Dom Toretto on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they've blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey... before someone else runs them down first."
